For the stylish renovation of a villa on the French Côte d’Azur, three custom glass design solutions were implemented, combining the highest level of craftsmanship with exclusive materials. The design and fabrication were carried out in close collaboration with the company Lotrian in Vienna.
Headboard – A Luxurious Design Statement
The headboard was designed as the central design element in the bedroom. It consists of 2 x 8 mm white glass and is finished with a stainless steel frame featuring genuine gold plating (electroplated).
The interior features an exclusive designer fabric with inlaid stainless steel shapes—also genuine gold-plated—as well as delicately shimmering mother-of-pearl inlays. The particular challenge lay in precisely coordinating the inlay pattern to achieve a perfect visual effect across the entire surface.
Shower Enclosure – Elegance in the Wet Area
The shower enclosure was crafted from 2 x 4 mm white glass and fitted with a high-quality designer fabric. A surrounding stainless steel border with a genuine gold plating provides an elegant, minimalist frame and ensures harmonious integration into the bathroom design.
Partition – Transparent Spatial Structure with Character
The partition consists of 2 x 8 mm white glass and also incorporates a finely coordinated design fabric. The opening and the surrounding frame were crafted from elegantly gold-plated stainless steel. Because the design is visible from both sides, the inlays had to be aligned with exceptional precision throughout the entire lamination process.
Precision in Development and Manufacturing
All components were developed and manufactured in collaboration with Lotrian in Vienna and subsequently shipped to France. A particular technical challenge was the precise positioning of the inserts before and during the lamination process, especially for large-surface components such as the headboard. Ensuring that both visible sides aligned perfectly was a key quality requirement.
